East Paulding's Reid To Coach Tift County

The Tift County School Board voted Tuesday to hire the Raiders coach to helm the Devils' football team.

The Raiders football team will have to follow up a 2011 playoff run under the leadership of a new coach.

The Tifton Gazette reported Wednesday that East Paulding head football coach John Reid was hired to coach the Tift County High School Devils football team.

Reid will take the reins of a Tift County team that started the 2011 season strong with three wins but then lost its remaining seven games.

Under Reid, East Paulding went 9-1 in the regular season—defeating the four other Paulding teams in the process—and was ranked in the top 10 for most of the season. The Raiders’ season ended in the third round of the playoffs . The Raiders held nine opponents to under 10 points in their 13 games.
