Weather Spotter Course

The will host a weather spotter course on Monday, March 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at . The National Weather Service will instruct the course.

SkyWarn/Weather Spotter is a program that the National Weather Service uses to train volunteers to serve as “storm spotters.” These volunteers assist in relaying local weather information to forecasters during severe weather occurrences. If you have a general interest in weather and a desire to serve in your community, this course would be beneficial to you. For more information on SkyWarn, visit www.weather.gov and click on “Georgia”—the link to the course is located in the left column under the heading “Weather Safety.”
