The public is invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Georgia Highlands College library, on Monday, March 11, at noon. In attendance will be interim president Renva Watterson; Elijah Scott, director of libraries; David Austen, chair, Paulding County Commission.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the GHC Paulding library, located at the Old Courthouse, 25 Courthouse Square, Dallas.

As the Paulding campus of GHC has grown, its need for better library resources has also expanded. Formerly, the library primarily consisted of online reference material. The new Paulding campus library houses around 3,500 books covering history, literature, art, music, science and all other areas of the college curriculum. It also includes a rotating collection of current best-selling fiction and non-fiction, as well as newspapers and magazines.
