Cole said board action is needed because personnel positions have to be approved. And the measure gets board approval.

The two Army JROTC programs are slated to begin next school year. Board members gave the nod to four new positions in allβ€”a senior army instructor and an army instructor at each school.

9:12 a.m.: Coweta-Fayette EMC gets the board's nod to supply natural gas.

8:47 a.m.: Turner now presenting info on Paulding County High vocational renovations. Running about $675,000. Electrical a big expense with project as building isn't within code. Once ceilings are opened up, could have asbestos issues.

8:45 a.m.: Turner is showing photos from the MS #9 site. Dust becomes an issue out there at times. Have had some unsuitable soils out there at times, but officials had taken that into account and project is under budget. Water/sewer 75 percent installed, storm sewers at 60%, first slab pour scheduled for next wk. Project on time or ahead for Aug. 2012 opening.
