Local Father Seeking School Bus Changes

Michael Roach is asking Paulding County Schools to provide bus drivers with a list of passengers after his daughter did not get off the vehicle on the first day of school, WSB TV reports.

WSB TV reports that a Dallas man is calling for changes within Paulding County Schools after his 5-year-old daughter didn’t make it off the school bus at the end of the first day of classes.

Michael Roach told the ABC affiliate that he panicked when his daughter, Gabrielle, missed her stop to get home. He said his daughter not unfamiliar with the bus’ route and did not know where to get off. Roach is asking the district to provide its drivers with a list of at least its youngest bus riders.

Paulding Associate Superintendent Brian Otott told WSB that the district has a strong record of bus safety and will look into Roach’s request.
