North Paulding Wins GMSAA Title Game

The sixth-grade Wolfpack team defeated a McEachern squad that had allowed only 6 points in its three previous tournament games.

Members of the North Paulding Wolfpack now have some championship hardware to pack along with their gear.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Junior Football Program’s sixth-grade team topped Saturday at McEachern team that had allowed few points in the Georgia Middle School Athletic Association’s tournament. According to the GMSAA’s Facebook page, North Paulding won the game played at Lassiter High School by a score of 34-28.

McEachern had previously allowed only 6 points throughout the GMSAA tournament; two of its three games were shutouts.

North Paulding advanced to Saturday’s championship game by notching wins against Creekview, Hillgrove and Johns Creek.

Other GMSAA championship games set for today are Sequoyah vs. Rome at 3:45 p.m. for the seventh-grade championship, and McEachern vs. Hillgrove at 8 p.m. for the eighth-grade title.
