Paulding Schools in Running for $10K Computer Labs

Two local schools could each win a computer lab if enough votes come their way from the public. Find out how you can help them.

Online votes can help two Paulding County schools each earn a new computer lab.

is holding a Back to School Photo Contest that had customers upload photos of themselves, their kids or their loved ones, and share the name of their favorite school. The contest is now in its voting period, and those who log onto the website can cast their votes for their favorite entry.

The top five entries will earn a computer lab valued up to $10,000 for their schools, while those who submitted the winning entries each will receive a MacBook Pro.

The South Paulding photo comes from student William Evans. The photo, which is attached to this article, has this description attached to it: “William is starting band for the 2nd year in Middle School and is enjoying spending time hanging with his friends!”

Abney Elementary’s entry was submitted by Eric Lockwood. Lockwood’s entry says that while Abney is a “wonderful school,” it still needs school supplies and updated equipment.

“It’s a new school but we have additional needs to help our students to be more confident and have the basic comforts that students deserve,” Lockwood’s entry states.

Voting for the contest runs until Monday, Sept. 3, at 9 p.m. Individuals are limited to one vote per day. The complete rules can be found here.
