Video: School Board Candidates Speak at Chamber Breakfast

Four of the five candidates for Paulding County School Board spoke in front of attendees at the Cobb EMC Power Breakfast on Tuesday.

Some of Paulding County’s current and future school board members had a chance to speak to the business community at Tuesday’s Cobb EMC Power Breakfast.

The event, held at Bentwater Golf Club in Acworth, saw four of this year’s five candidates introducing themselves to those in attendance. Leading off were the two candidates in the only contested race—At Large Board Member Joe Watson and challenger Justin Rowland. The two are running as Republicans; no Democrats or independents are seeking the seat, which means the winner in the July 31 primary will go on to take office in January.

Also speaking were District 3 Board Member Kim Cobb and Richard Manous, the sole candidate for the District 4 seat. The two unopposed candidates, both of whom qualified as Republicans, will begin their terms in January.
