Neal Freeman will be the guest speaker for the Georgia Power Luncheon hosted by the Paulding Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 5. Over the past thirty years, Neal has been responsible for the development, leasing and management of more than fifty Publix anchored shopping centers, representing over five million square feet. His leadership has earned him chief executive positions within Watkins Retail Group and its parent company Watkins Associated Industries, Inc.’s, a $500+ million multi-industry conglomerate.
Memories of his childhood spent with family at the ballpark and the ones he has formed as a father of three athletes and coach to his own children, inspired Neal to start developing real estate assets that cater to the family unit and community. Neal’s first concept, Abbotts Kid Village, was the recipient of the “Most Innovative Project” award by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Neal then developed the Family Festival, another award-winning concept that takes traditional retail centers and integrates amenities such as baseball/softball fields, parks and playgrounds and entertainment facilities.
Neal’s experiences over the past decade, traveling the country coaching a five time National Championship winning travel baseball team, were the inspiration for creating LakePoint, the Premier Sports Vacation Destination. His role as Chief Executive Officer gives him the responsibility of overseeing the LakePoint development as well as steering the company to fulfill its mission. His prior leadership roles and experience in commercial real estate development make Neal a key partner in LakePoint Development Group. The Chamber Luncheon begins with a Business Expo at 11 a.m. followed by the program at noon.
