Leadership Paulding Concentrates on Health

On Thursday Nov. 21, the Paulding Chamber's Leadership Paulding Class 24 concentrated on Health and Human Services.

The day began at the offices of the Family Alliance located in Hiram where
executive Director Linda Verscharen explained the different programs
and services provided by her organization to help meet the needs of
our community.

Jana Stegall, Executive Director of CASA Paulding, also
attended to provide information on the importance of child advocacy.
The class participated in a role playing exercise conducted by a
therapist with the Family Intervention Specialist to demonstrate
strategies used with children to overcome traumatic events and life
challenges. Personal testimonies were presented by former addicts
who have benefitted from Family Alliance resources and are now very
instrumental in sharing their story in hopes of helping others.

The Chamber thanked MembersFirst Credit Union for sponsoring lunch and to Leadership Paulding program sponsor Curl Properties.
