North Paulding's boys and girls varsity basketball teams and South Paulding's girls compete in 's Lake City Classic Basketball Tournament, a three-day event involving eight boys teams and eight girls teams. North Clayton, Mays, Alexander, Hillgrove, Lithia Springs, Johnson County and North Paulding join Allatoona on the boys side, while Allatoona, North Paulding, South Paulding, South Atlanta, Alexander, Chestatee, North Clayton and Hillgrove play on the girls side. Both North Paulding teams open against Allatoona, the girls at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 and the boys at 8:30 p.m. The South Paulding girls open against South Atlanta at 4 p.m. Dec. 28.
