Friday Football Preview: Raiders Look to Rebound

East Paulding (7-1, 4-1) at Osborne (2-6, 1-4) – Osborne’s lost four of its last five games and was blanked last week by Sprayberry, who pasted 43 points on the Cardinals. Tonight has the unenviable task of hosting Region 5N-AAAA powerhouse , a team that was just upset at home last week by Pope.

Hiram (3-5, 1-4) at Pope (7-1, 4-1) – pulled off an amazing upset last week at East Paulding and now sits in a 3-way tie for first place in the Region 5N-AAAA standings. has lost four games in a row and is looking to regroup after its Bye Week. The last time the Hornets played, they lost by 49 points to East Paulding.

Paulding County (2-6, 1-4) at Douglas County (1-7, 1-4) – After a win two weeks ago – the first of the season for – the Tigers came up short against South Paulding. At 1-4 in Region 5S-AAAA play Douglas County cannot make the postseason, but it can hand a loss and leapfrog the Patriots in the standings. The Patriots have lost six of their last seven games.

Chapel Hill (5-3, 4-1) at South Paulding (6-2, 5-0) – Tonight’s game has postseason seeding implications aplenty. If can beat on the road, both teams will be 5-1 in Region 5S-AAAA play and the Panthers will hold tiebreaker rights. The Spartans have won five games in a row and with a win will wrap up the region crown.
