Hiram Holds On Against Osborne
The Hiram Hornets earned a hard-fought 17-7 victory over the feisty Cardinals from Osborne High School.
The had plans to spoil Hiram's homecoming festivities, but the Hornets held on for a 17-7 win.
Junior placekicker Trevor Wylie opened the scoring for Hiram with a 35-yard field goal to put the Hornets up 3-0. Both teams had trouble moving the ball for most of the first half, as they were plagued with penalties and other mistakes.
Osborne took the lead midway through the second quarter when it capitalized on a Hiram punting mistake. was unable to punt the ball across the line of scrimmage and Osborne took over deep in Hiram territory.

Senior running back Jay'won Chistain scored a touchdown on the first play of the ensuing drive and the Cardinals led, 7-3. Neither team was able to mount another scoring drive the rest of the half.
Hiram took the lead in the third quarter when junior Roderick Harrison scored on a quarterback keeper to put the Hornets up, 10-7. They would go on to score another touchdown in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring for the game.
