Get Out: Bikers, Benefit Bash, Hair-A-Thon, Classic Cars, Rodeo Among Highlights

Fundraisers for a child with Neuroblastoma and for autism are among this weekend's activities.

Benefit Bash by Capturing A Cure

When: Saturday, noon to 8 p.m.

Where: Parking lot, , 2400 Hiram Acworth Highway (Ga. 92) at Ga. 120, Dallas.

Why Go: Money raised will go to the Johnson family to help with expenses associated with their son Joshua Cade Johnson, 7, who has Neuroblastoma. Vendors or sponsors still are welcome. 

Live bands will be performing. Among the attractions will be a moonwalk, monster trucks, face painting, pony rides, mechanical bull, climbing wall and a petting zoo.

Established in 2010, Capturing A Cure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides resources to families who have a child with a childhood illness.

2011 Chrome & Compassion Poker Run by Capturing a Cure

When: Saturday, 11 a.m. for registration; last bike out at 1 p.m., last bike in at 4 p.m.; 9 p.m., Biker Bash

Where: Begins at Harley-Davidson of Atlanta, 501 Thornton Road, Lithia Springs; ends at Stars & Strikes, Ga. 92 at Ga. 120, Dallas.

Live bands will be performing, including Mad Margritt at 9 p.m. for the Biker Bash in the parking lot of Stars & Strikes. Food and drink specials will be available inside at the Coaches Corner.

Pricing: $25 per bike, $10 per passenger; pre-registration is available online.

24-Hour Half-Price Hair-a-Thon for Autism

When: Saturday, 6 p.m. to Sunday, 6 p.m.

Where: , 5739 Wendy Bagwell Parkway, Suite 105, Hiram.

Why Go: This benefit for the Autism Society of America will include stylists and barbers from around metro Atlanta, donating their time and services for half price. There also will be free food, vendors and music.

Pricing: Varies but half-price haircuts.

Cobb County Classic Rodeo

When: Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.

Where: Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road SW, Marietta, between Powder Springs Road and Austell Road.

Why Go: Seven events will be featured each night.

Pricing: $15 for adults, $12 for children, free for under 5.

Where: Downtown Dallas on Main Street.

Why Go: See a variety of restored classic cars.
