Players Hit the Hardwood for CASA

The Harlem Ambassadors basketball team played against community members during a March 3 fundraising event for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Paulding County Inc.

A local group reaped the benefits of a traveling basketball team’s recent visit to Paulding County.

The Harlem Ambassadors came to town March 3 to take on a team fielded by volunteers and supporters of Court Appointed Special Advocates of Paulding County Inc.. CASA will use the proceeds from the event's ticket sales to fund recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers who work with abused and neglected children in the county.

The mission of CASA of Paulding County Inc. is to provide trained and supervised volunteers to speak for the best interest of abused and neglected children who are involved in the juvenile court system, and to assist in finding a permanent, safe, and loving home for each of these children as soon as possible.
