‘Race for a Cure’ Set for Saturday

Organizers of Saturday’s walk will be taking last-minute registrations before the race starts.

Registration at $25 a person will begin at 7:30 a.m. at , with the 5K race beginning at 8 a.m.; those registering on Saturday may not be guaranteed a race T-shirt. Walkers will take off from the starting line at 8:15 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will go toward Paulding Relay for Life.

The race will start at the intersection of East Memorial Drive and Main Street, with participants going down Main Street to South Main Street and then turning onto W. Foster Avenue. From there, onto Hardee Street toward Merchants Drive. After turning around on Hardee Street at Merchants, participants will turn right onto Nathan Dean Boulevard and then turn left onto Merchants Drive, where they will head back toward the finish line at the intersection of East Memorial Drive and Main Street.

Though runners are being told to run along the sidewalks, those who wish to drive in the area should be prepared to delay their departure or take alternative routes.
