Three Paulding County Master Gardeners Achieve "Lifetime" Status

Three Master Gardeners were recognized by Paulding County University of Georgia Cooperative Extension for providing 10 years of volunteer service to Paulding County.

Paulding County University of Georgia Cooperative Extension recently recognized Rachel Dutton, Joanne Fudger and LuAnne Reed for achieving Lifetime Master Gardener status.

These volunteers received their Lifetime Master Gardener Certificates and badges at the Paulding County Master Gardeners Annual Harvest Dinner. Lifetime Master Gardener recognition is awarded to certified Master Gardeners who have remained active for 10 years. Georgia Master Gardeners who have received Lifetime recognition are still obligated to report a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer service annually to remain an active status.

Dutton, Fudger and Reed have volunteered in Paulding County to foster a love of gardening and to promote good gardening practices in their fellow citizens. Their combined service includes serving in leadership roles as officers and committee chairs, as well as project work with 4-H and youth, the Dallas Farmers Market, office assistance, newsletter production, mentorship, working in the Master Gardener "Plant a Row for the Hungry" Vegetable Garden, and teaching adult classes for Master Gardeners and the community. Paulding County Master Gardeners and Paulding County UGA Cooperative Extension are grateful for these vibrant volunteers and their continued service in the community.
