Video: Workday Brings Storm Relief to Hard-Hit Areas

Volunteers left from Poole Elementary Saturday morning and traveled to several "hotspots" to remove debris and offer other aid.

The workday was coordinated by in Dallas. Steve Veale, lead pastor of the church’s West Paulding site, estimates that somewhere between 300 and 400 volunteers—locals as well as some who came from as far away as Atlanta—visited about 19 worksites during the workday, from the Clear Creek subdivision in Dallas to Southern Trace in Rockmart.

Volunteers’ efforts ranged from performing yard work, debris cleanup and helping homeowners cope with damage and loss of property.
