Douglas, Paulding Robberies May Be Linked

No arrests have been made in last week’s robbery in Douglasville, nor one that happened late last year in South Paulding.

A robbery at a Douglasville business last week could be tied to a similar crime that remains unsolved more than seven months later. The Douglas County Sheriff's and Douglasville Police Departments last week announced they were seeking two men after an armed robbery at the JP Jones Petro gas station on Bankhead Highway. Authorities report that one of the two suspects fired a round as they entered the store and robbed the clerk of the cash. The two may have been dropped off at the business by a gray, four-door car with fog lights. Fox 5 Atlanta reported Sunday that the Douglasville crime could be related to the robbery of a restaurant in South Paulding. “The M.O. matches another robbery that occurred up in Paulding County. Armed Robbery Reported at Hiram Convenience Store

Authorities say a black male took cash from the Phillips 66 convenience store Friday night.

Paulding County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking into an armed robbery reported at a Hiram convenience store. According to PCSO reports, Friday between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m., a black male with a handgun took between $200 and $300 from a cash register at Phillips 66 on Macland Road. PCSO Cpl. Ashley Henson said authorities as of Wednesday have only the vague description of the perpetrator to go on, as well as no details on the vehicle he drove. The armed robbery was one of many crimes listed in reports released by the sheriff’s office Wednesday. 2 Stabbed, 1 Critical in Bloody Robbery in Bartow

Witnesses said a man with a knife entered the home near a Highway 41 flea market, stole money and stabbed two men.
