Police: Bank Robber Arrived, Left on Foot

Dallas Police Tuesday afternoon released security camera photos from the morning robbery. The four photos authorities released are attached to this article. Dallas Police early Tuesday afternoon released to Dallas-Hiram Patch details of a bank robbery that occurred at Georgia Heritage Bank. According to Detective Allen Herd, the incident occurred about 9:45 a.m. when a man walked in and presented a note demanding cash. The perpetrator, who was not armed, was in and out in less than a minute after receiving an unspecified amount of cash, Herd said. Did Hiram Police Catch the ‘Lollipop Bandit’?

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the man arrested Monday in connection with Saturday’s robbery at the Bank of America branch in Hiram could soon be linked to similar crimes in Cobb County.

Authorities Monday afternoon were working to determine if the man arrested earlier in the day in connection with the Saturday afternoon robbery at the Bank of America branch in Hiram was involved in other crimes in neighboring Cobb County. Devin Johnson, 28, already faces one count of robbery after being arrested at a friend’s house in Roswell about 10:30 a.m. Monday. But more charges could be pending if authorities can link him to two other robberies. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Johnson may be the “Lollipop Bandit” suspect who robbed two Cobb banks in May. During each robbery, the suspect sucked a lollipop. Arrest Made in Bank of America Robbery

Authorities made the arrest Monday morning in Roswell less than two days after the robbery occurred in Hiram.

Authorities Monday made an arrest in connection with the Saturday afternoon robbery at the Bank of America branch in Hiram. Devin Johnson of Powder Springs, 28, faces one count of robbery after being apprehended at a friend’s house in Roswell about 10:30 a.m., according to Detective Donald Roberts of the Hiram Police Department. Roberts said that while authorities could not get into the details of what led to Johnson’s arrest, he said officials had recovered a portion of the money taken in the Saturday incident. The amount taken in the robbery, he added, was “not substantial.” He said Saturday’s robbery saw a lone perpetrator walk into the bank about 12:20 p.m. and hand the teller a note demanding money. “He never said a word to her. Bank of America Branch Robbed in Hiram

Authorities are seeking the public’s help as they continue to investigate the Saturday incident.

The Hiram Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Bank of America branch at 4900 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway about 12:30 p.m. Saturday. No one was injured during the incident. According to a news release sent to Dallas-Hiram Patch Sunday night, few details are being released to the public until the investigation is complete, but authorities are seeking one suspect—a black man in his late 20s or early 30s, with a lean build and about 6 feet tall. The man was last seen wearing an orange and red ball cap and an orange long-sleeved shirt.
