To all of those who believe in Harvey Dent and Gotham City, rejoice. September 25 is National Comic Book Day. This is a day for people of all ages to enjoy, since the first-ever comic book superhero made his first appearance in 1938. While some characters have new looks, and some of their storylines have changed completely, comic enthusiasts can still share their love of their favorite characters, old and new. This geeky holiday is a great time for comic fans to honor their superhero, heroine or villain’s best stories. Where do you find your favorite comics in Paulding County? 'The Dark Knight Rises' Shines

Halfway through 2012, we have our first real contender for the movie of the year, with the final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Learn what our resident critic said about it and where and when you can see it in Paulding County.

Editor's note: As of early Thursday, tickets were still being sold for tonight's Batman movie marathon and the 12:01 a.m. showing of The Dark Knight Rises at Movies 278, according to online ticket retailer Fandango.com. 'Dark Knight' Marathon Set Before Premiere

Moviegoers interested in the last of the Batman series can see "The Dark Knight Rises" in more than a dozen screenings in Hiram on Friday, with the first at 12:01 a.m.

Holy blockbuster, Batman! The Dark Knight Rises premieres Thursday at midnight, and it's basically a guarantee it will break ticket sale records. The third and reported final installment of director Christopher Nolan's Batman series starring Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader is expected to rake in more than $150 million in its opening weekend alone. As of July 1, 100,000 tickets were already presold. Hiram’s Movies 278 is capitalizing on the hype with a Batman marathon that begins Thursday at 6 p.m. and continues for more than 8 hours. For $25, it includes Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, which lead up to the 12:01 a.m. showing of The Dark Knight Rises.
