Dallas Driver Involved in Fatal Crash in Cobb

The crash occurred Thursday afternoon in Smyrna.

Cobb County Police officials on Thursday announced they were investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a Buford resident. According to a CCPD news release, the crash occurred Thursday about 1:43 p.m. in Smyrna on the westbound Interstate 285 ramp to South Cobb Drive. The incident, according to authorities, saw a red and white 1998 Link Belt HTC8670 crane truck that was stopped in traffic struck in the rear by a black 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. After striking the truck, the Cruze rolled backwards down the ramp toward southbound traffic on I-285, coming to a stop after rolling down the embankment between the interstate and ramp. Hiram Man Facing Charges in Fatal Crash

The crash occurred Saturday in Smyrna. A passenger involved in the two-vehicle crash died Tuesday.

Charges are being filed against the drivers in a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a juvenile’s death. According to a news release Wednesday from the Cobb County Police Department, the crash occurred Saturday on Hurt Road at its intersection with Concord Road in Smyrna. According to investigators, a maroon 1996 Chevrolet was southbound on Hurt Road while a silver 2007 Pontiac G5 was westbound on Concord Road. According to witnesses at the scene, the Pontiac ran a red light at the intersection and hit the driver’s side of the Chevrolet.  The impact caused the Chevrolet to roll over, coming to rest on its right side; a juvenile passenger was ejected from the vehicle upon impact.  The juvenile was transported to Atlanta Medical Center, then …
