Help Wanted for East Paulding Walmart Work

The Georgia Department of Labor on Thursday will recruit in both Dallas and Marietta to find workers to remodel the Dallas Walmart.

The Georgia Department of Labor is helping Altruistic Staffing fill about 20 jobs for workers to help remodel the inside of Dallas’ Walmart store. The staffing company on Thursday will hold a recruitment event from noon until 4 p.m. at the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce, 655 Jimmy Campbell Parkway in Dallas. Another recruiting event will be held earlier in the day Thursday—from 10 a.m. to noon—at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta. Applicants must have a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), two forms of identification, and be able to lift at least 25 pounds, stand for at least two hours at a time and work flexible hours. GDOL To Recruit Wire Technicians Next Week

A recruitment event to fill several jobs in the metro Atlanta area will be held in Marietta Monday, Feb. 11.

The Georgia Department of Labor will be helping AT&T fill a number of full-time jobs for wire technicians to work in metro Atlanta. A recruitment event will be held Monday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta. The company will be recruiting wire technicians to install and maintain the U-verse integrated digital television, high-speed internet and voice services system. Applicants must have the ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds, work a flexible schedule inside and outside on evenings and weekends, complete on-the-job and classroom training, and have a valid state driver’s license. ‘Hire A Hero’ Career Expo Wednesday in Cobb

The career expo in Marietta is aimed at veterans as well as other job seekers.

The Georgia Department of Labor will assist Solid Hires and the Veterans of Foreign Wars with a career expo for veterans and other job seekers Wednesday. Titled “Hire a Hero,” the expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the VFW Post 2681, located at 140 Powers Ferry Road S.E. in Marietta. A team of military résumé writers from Washington, D.C., will be on hand to help the veterans prepare their résumés. And a seminar will be conducted on personal branding and social media to help the veterans learn how to get in touch with potential employers. The Georgia Department of Labor will help RGIS Inventory Service and a Kroger grocery store fill about 20 jobs in Cobb County this week. On Wednesday, RGIS, an inventory and data collection agency, will be recruiting 10 part-time inventory takers. The recruitment will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.
