The Paulding Chamber of Commerce’s annual seated dinner, which will commemorate the organization’s 52nd year of existence, will be held at the Paulding County Senior Community Center Thursday, Jan. 17. The event will begin with a VIP reception at 6 p.m. and dinner seating at 7 p.m. Few tickets remained as of earlier this week and are being sold individually at $125 each. Though dirt was already being moved at the site of the future WellStar Paulding Hospital, officials with the health group and others who have helped the project along were on hand Monday to lift shovels to commemorate the beginning of construction. The facility being built in Hiram along Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway at Bill Carruth Parkway, next to the Paulding Physicians Center, is slated to open in April of 2014. Fifty-six in-patient beds will be available once the hospital opens, though future work will double that amount to 112. Just days before its groundbreaking, attendees to Thursday’s Paulding County Chamber of Commerce Georgia Power Luncheon learned about the WellStar Paulding Hospital, slated to open in the spring of 2014. Jon - Thanks for the great coverage! In response to your post, I think this is a good size to start off with, especially how Paulding County is growing. I am anxious to see this his hospital built and glad to hear they are moving away from the old modern cooling towers and going towards geothermal energy to heat and cool the hospital.
