Your online votes can once again help Paulding students bring home a large sum of money. The Paulding County High School Chorus program is one of 22 entries from Georgia in Rack Room Shoes’ “Gift of Music” video contest. The contest had public, private and parochial schools submitting videos of students performing one of five Christmas holiday songs. At stake for the chorus program is one of four $15,000 music grants that will be awarded to the four entries with the most online votes. PCHS chorus members performed “O Christmas Tree” for their contest submission. A YouTube video of it is attached to this article. As of early Thursday, the video had nearly 300 views on YouTube. Supporters of two Paulding County schools have until 9 tonight to cast online votes to help the schools each earn a free computer lab. The Rack Room Shoes Back to School Photo Contest had customers upload photos of themselves, their kids or their loved ones, and share the name of their favorite school. The contest is now in its voting period, and those who log onto the website can cast their votes for their favorite entry. Jaylon and Johnnie Gordon were selected from 2,200 applicants to be in a back-to-school ad campaign.

Brothers Jaylon and Johnnie Gordon recently traveled with their family from Dallas to attend a professional photo shoot in Charlotte, N.C., as winners of Rack Room Shoes’ “Models Wanted” contest. Selected from among 2,200 applicants, they modeled a variety of footwear and are now featured in Rack Room Shoes’ Back to School advertising campaign. For the past several years, Rack Room Shoes has hosted its “Models Wanted” contest, in which real customers become stars in advertising campaigns. The Gordon brothers received celebrity treatment at the photo shoot and were also able to spend time with their family while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge.
