Relay for Life of Paulding County is being held at White Oak Park in Dallas, with the event’s opening ceremony set for 6:45 p.m. Seventy-four teams from all across Paulding as well as close to 1,000 participants are set to take part in the event. Dallas-Hiram Patch, with the help of 278themix.com, will be streaming video straight from the event tonight through Saturday morning. Get out your running shoes, Paulding. The McGarity Mustang Stampede 5K Run/Walk is this Saturday. The race starts at 9 a.m. May 4 at the Silver Comet Trail Paulding Chamber of Commerce Trailhead. Pre-registration is $20. The entry fee rises to $25 on the day of the race. The family rate is $60. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Paulding County, scheduled for May 17-18 at White Oak Park. The culmination of months of fundraising, Relay For Life of Paulding County—an event during which participants will honor cancer victims and survivors and raise awareness and money for a cure—is set for May 17 at White Oak Park in Dallas. Tickets are on sale for Kissing Cancer Goodbye's fourth-annual gospel concert, set for Feb. 2 in Dallas. Proceeds from the event, which will feature the Steadfast Quartet, will benefit Relay for Life of Paulding County.
