State Patrol Ready for Busy Holiday Travel

Georgia troopers will be conducting concentrated patrols and road checks across the state during the 102-hour Thanksgiving holiday travel period, which is now under way.

McDonough, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Safety, in a released statement. “By conducting concentrated patrols or holding roadchecks across the state, troopers, deputies and officers can intercept violators before they are involved in a serious traffic crash.” The holiday period began 6 p.m. Wednesday and ends at midnight Sunday, Nov. 25.
