Editor's Note: The City of Smyrna is holding a Veterans Day ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at Brinkley Park, in addition to the Veterans Day service held by The American Legion 160 at 11 a.m. outside of the Legion office on 160 Legion Drive. This week's Cobb, Douglas and Paulding Weekend Spotlight features an area Veterans Day event in Smyrna where residents can show their support for local veterans. The 5th Annual Smyrna Veterans Day Service will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Brinkley Park next to The American Legion Post 160 office at 160 Legion Drive SE in Smyrna.
