Some may find it hard to choose a flavor at their favorite frozen yogurt place, but as far choosing their favorite destination goes, the choice must have been pretty easy for our readers this week. Yotropolis Frozen Yogurt & Smoothies was the hands-down favorite in this week’s Readers’ Choice feature. The fro-yo shop got an overwhelming 82 votes. Victoria Weinert with Yotropolis said Friday that the results show that the business has plenty of loyal customers. She says the store, which is family-owned, came about from their love of fro-yo shops and a desire to bring one to their home area. “We have found such a welcome here and strive to return the favor by giving back to the community as much as we can,” she says. Congratulations to Taki Japanese Steakhouse on being named this week's Dallas-Hiram Patch Readers’ Choice for being readers' favorite place for Mother's Day brunch in town. This Japanese steakhouse in Hiram offers twilight specials and date night dinners for two. The restaurant serves chicken, beef, seafood and sushi, and offers a weekend brunch—hence its inclusion in this week’s contest focused on Mother’s Day brunch.
