Mariel Shields is believed to be somewhere in the metro Atlanta area, Dallas Police said Friday.
Dallas Police on Friday confirmed that a 15-year-old girl reported missing Sept. 20 has yet to be found one month later. Mariel Shields was reported missing from her Dallas home last month, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Earlier this month, Det. Allen Herd with the Dallas Police Department said that Mariel at that time was believed to be in or around Paulding County and using the name “Coco,” telling people she was 20 years old. Dallas Police believe Mariel Shields is still around the Paulding area.
Dallas Police Thursday morning announced they were searching for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for two weeks. Mariel Shields has been missing since Sept. 20, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Det. Allen Herd with the Dallas Police Department told Dallas-Hiram Patch that Mariel is believed to still be in or around Paulding County and using the name “Coco,” telling people she is 20 years old. Cheyenne Cody left her home in Dallas Wednesday night and was seen in her neighborhood Thursday. Police do not believe at this time that she is in danger but ask for the public's help in locating her.

Updated 6:30 p.m. Sgt. Bill Gorman of the Dallas Police Department told Dallas-Hiram Patch that Cheyenne Cody has run away from police every time she has spotted them since she left home Wednesday. She has been seen today in her neighborhood, the Bartlett Square subdivision. “We don’t think at this time that she’s in danger—we just want to make sure she gets home where she can be safe,” Gorman said. Gorman said Cheyenne was described as 5 feet tall and weighing 115 pounds. He confirmed the clothing she was last seen in—a white tank top, black pants and barefoot. No one had seen or heard from Cole, his father Jason Cole or family friend Will Copes since they stayed at a friend's Cherokee County home Friday night.
Elijah Cole, a student at Sixes Elementary in Canton, has not been seen or heard from since Friday night, the spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said this evening.
